A Magical Day... Wednesday, September 21

Ever since the Halloween party we've been taking it pretty easy. I made the conscious decision not to kill myself trying to blog every day. While we've been taking it easy, the down time has been limited and I'd much rather take a nap or simply put my feet up. Yesterday we checked out of our Disney resort, and checked into the Best Western Lake Buena Vista. We're going to a timeshare presentation today in order to get three nights here for free.


So, sit back and relax for a series of posts that recap the last week...

Last Wednesday morning we slept in, and then headed back to the Magic Kingdom to see Tomorrowland and Adventureland.  We hit some of the classic rides and attractions such as the Tomorrowland Speedway, Astro Orbiter, Buzz Lightyear, Pirates of the Caribbean and the Tiki birds. We met lots of characters today inlcuding Chip 'n' Dale, Ariel & Prince Eric, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and Vidia. A handful of the photos are screen prints from Photopass, so forgive the quality.

It was SOOOO nice that we were staying at Bay Lake Tower because we were able to easily walk home and avoid the long lines at the ferries, monorail and buses.

A few videos to hold you over

I'm drafting a few posts to give you the highlights of our days, but it's taking a while and I can't finish them tonight. So in the meantime, here are a few videos from today. We went to EPCOT, and the skies opened up and this time not just for an obligatory five minute Florida afternoon rain. It rained the rest of the day... but we're not made of sugar, slipped on our ponchos and continued on. And then back to our resort, threw our clothes in the dryer, and took a nap. After a quick bite to eat we headed back to watch Illuminations in the drizzle. Our resort is a hop, skip and jump over so it was easy-peasy. Love it.

After last night's Halloween Party, we slept in this morning and chilled out in our room until lunchtime. Then we monorailed it over to Magic Kingdom to visit Tomorrowland and Adventureland. We met Chip & Dale, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, and Ariel along the way. Then we topped the night off with the Electrical Light Parade.

Tomorrow we switch resorts and move to the Beach Club Villas. Goodbye Magic Kingdom, Hello Epcot and Hollywood Studios!

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Photo Journal

Phew! It was a fun filled { exhausting } night. We did all of our must haves sans a couple such as the Haunted Mansion, but Sean says he's too scared to ride ... so there. We saw lots of characters, trick or treated, watched the awesome Hallowishes fireworks show, the Boo to You parade, and the Villains mix 'n mingle to end the night . Here are a few pics that feature the highlights of the night. The first five are screen prints from Disney's photopass site, so forgive the quality.

 

Disney Photo Journal ... Part I

I have blog posts swimming around in my head, but not enough time to write them down. I'm taking notes and will document a few detailed blog posts when we get home. Meanwhile, here's a few photos  from the first three days. We're relying a lot on the Disney photographers for all of our character meet & greets, so you won't see those just yet. These are not edited, straight out of the camera (no editing software with us). BTW, Jeff is on this vacation too... Sean is just cuter!
