8::365 { One Photo a Day } ... The Party

The dinosaurs came marching in today and had an AWESOME time! Plenty of pictures to share, but it will have to wait until tomorrow or Monday. This dino-mommy is much too tired. I picked this one as my favorite from the day. My little boy is three years old!! Oh my.

7::365 { One Photo a Day } ... The dinosaurs are coming!

The dinosaurs are coming!! Sean's birthday party is tomorrow, so my big to-do for today was to make his cake. Not bad for an amateur. But my perfectionist personality really hated parts of this (I'm totally not going into the cake decorating business!). The whole "crumb coat" thing was a pain in the neck. And as you can see the dinosaur is a little dirty in parts, so it didn't totally work for me. But such is life. It can get a little crumby and dirty every now and then. We still smile and enjoy the good parts.

Big day tomorrow. The three year old birthday party! Lots of fun things planned, and plenty of pictures to share I'm sure. Stay tuned.

6::365 { One Photo a Day } ... It runs in the family

We gave Sean this new camera on his birthday, and he loves snapping pictures. I grabbed my camera to take my daily photo (of something much more mundane) and he immediately said "I get my camera too". The best part is he puts the camera right up to his face just like I do... although his doesn't have a viewfinder, only an LCD window so he has no clue what he's taking pictures of!! After he snaps he says, "that was a beautiful picture". I think we have a budding photographer on our hands.

5::365 { One Photo a Day } ... De-Christmasing

This is all that's left of Christmas in our house. We worked hard today to pack things away. I was having a hard time breathing... not literally, but that 'oh my gosh, I can't stand all this stuff' feeling... and just wanted to get her done, so to speak.

Sean asked for donuts this morning for breakfast, and Daddy delivered just in time...he was born at 9:03am about the time I snapped this photo. Happy 3rd Birthday, Buddy! We love you!!! XOXO, Mommy & Daddy

{ December Daily 2010 } Final Book

The book is complete! YAY! I'm so so so happy with it, and excited to get it printed. I'm printing through Adoramapix for the first time -- they use real photo paper instead of being press printed, and I've only read rave reviews online. Anxious to see how it looks in person.

2::365 { One Photo a Day } ... Once Upon a Time

     Three years ago today I went to bed early only to wake up at 2:30am and my water breaking. Sean was born five weeks early, and changed our lives. I was a couch potato again today, and didn't snap any photos. Not a great start for my Project 365, but I'm good at improvising. Sean's birthday is tomorrow so I keep thinking about when he was born. Such a scary & exciting time for us.
